Role

Our client, an alternative investment manager, is seeking a Senior Investment Funds lawyer to lead its legal and compliance department in Dublin.

Role Requirements

The successful candidate will manage a team of lawyers and will report directly to Senior Management. This role will suit someone who wants to be part of a management team leading an international investment business.

Responsibilities:

• Drafting and negotiating contracts, including ISDAs and investment management agreements with relevant parties
• Drafting and reviewing fund documentation
• Ensuring policies and procedures are maintained in accordance with relevant rules and regulations
• Ensuring the Board are updated quarterly on all regulatory and compliance matters
• Liaising with International Regulatory Authorities, responding to their queries, providing regular reports, and ensuring they are aware of any proposed amendments to the fund
• Liaising with the senior management team and assisting the directors with any legal aspects of the management of the funds
• Managing all aspects of the legal and compliance functions within the business

Candidate Requirements

• Compliance experience
• Experience with derivatives/ISDA/custody/prime brokerage agreement negotiating
• Minimum of 7 years PQE practising as a funds lawyer
• Qualified Lawyer
• Strong knowledge and experience of MIFID and AIFMD

Role Remuneration

Market leading salary, commensurate with experience.
