Role
Our client is a dynamic enterprise, based in Dublin city centre, with international operations in both the US and Asia, focused on the provision of innovative sporting goods. The business is rapidly expanding into new markets with both existing products and an exciting new range.
Our client is currently seeking Legal Counsel, with commercial experience (some IP/IT experience would be a benefit).
Role Requirements
The successful candidate will:
- assist and advise on the structuring of corporate and commercial transactions;
- draft, review and negotiate a wide range of commercial contracts and legal documents;
- engage and liaise with external parties including: inventors and licensors; suppliers; customers; insurers; and external advisers, both Irish and international;
- keep up-to-date on legal and regulatory matters affecting the business and help implement any required changes;
- manage the company’s IP portfolio and advise on IP matters, liaising with and managing external patent and trademarking professionals;
- plan and oversee the legal budget; and
- provide legal support to a variety of departments across the Group including: engineering and design; operations; sales; marketing; HR; finance.
Candidate Requirements
The ideal candidate will have:
- 7 years PQE, preferably a mix of working in a commercial law firm and an in-house corporate legal department;
- experience and familiarity with IP;
- strong commercial awareness and experience in identifying and managing legal and business risks;
- strong experience in drafting, reviewing and negotiating a wide range of agreements; and
- strong influencing capabilities, along with superior interpersonal and relationship building skills.
Role Remuneration
Market leading salary, commensurate with experience.
