Role
Our client is an authorised alternative investment fund manager and UCITS management company. Our client provides flexible solutions to its clients through an experienced team which includes investment and risk management professionals and designated individuals with in-depth knowledge of finance and operations, regulatory and compliance matters.
Our client is currently seeking a Financial Services lawyer, with funds experience, to join their team.
Role Requirements
The successful candidate will assist the business as internal legal advisor, providing professional legal support to the business. Key duties will include generating, reviewing and negotiating client contracts; acting as the primary point of contact with outside legal counsel; assisting with corporate governance matters; reviewing and negotiating third party service agreements; staying appraised of and conducting legal research regarding relevant new developments and regulatory issues; In addition, the successful candidate will perform additional tasks as required by the General Counsel and management.
Candidate Requirements
The ideal candidate will be a university graduate with an excellent academic background, qualified to practice law in Ireland. He/she will have an internationally recognised legal qualification and at least 4 years relevant legal experience with a focus on financial services, preferably investment funds.
The successful candidate will have demonstrable knowledge of the financial services industry with a focus on investment funds. This will include experience of reviewing fund agreements, transaction documents, familiarity with financial products and fund structures and knowledge of corporate governance, relevant European laws and regulatory requirements. A sound knowledge of the Irish Funds industry and specific experience working with the Central Bank of Ireland is desirable; UCITS and AIFMD knowledge is essential. Strong drafting and communication skills are also essential.
