My client, an established and market leading distributor of commercial vehicles in Ireland, is currently recruiting for a Financial Controller for their Kildare based team. This role will work closely with senior management and will be responsible for managing the day to day finances of the business.

Responsibilities

• Preparation and oversight of month-end and annual financial statements
• Preparation and presentation of cashflow forecasting and overall to management on an ongoing basis
• Lead annual budgeting process
• Oversight of weekly and monthly payrolls
• Prepare and coordinate statutory returns as required
• Management of internal controls including stock
• Ensure internal commercial KPIs are achieved and provide recommendation for change as appropriate
• Act as primary point of contact for auditors, tax and legal advisers

Requirements

• 7-10 years relevant experience, general motor industry or commercial vehicle sector experience preferred
• Professional level Accounting qualification (ACA/ACCA preferable)
• Experience of managing and supervising staff at all levels
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
