EU Competition Lawyer

Role
Our client, a top five law firm, has an opportunity for an ambitious lawyer to join their EU Competition group.
Our clients EU Competition group provide expert legal advice on all aspects of EU Law, Competition and Regulatory matters, including merger control, behavioural issues including cartel and dominance cases, public procurement law, state aid rules, competition law audits and compliance, competition litigation and sectoral regulation. They advise on regulated sectors, such as telecommunications, broadcasting, postal services, energy and transport (including aviation, bus and rail).
Responsibilities
We are looking to speak with candidates with exposure to the following practice areas:
- Cartel and dominance investigations
- EU and Irish competition rules and compliance
- Merger control under the EU Merger Regulation and the Competition Acts, 2002-2014
- Public procurement law
- Sectoral regulation, including telecommunications, broadcasting, postal services, energy and transport
- State aid rules
Candidate Requirements
- excellent academic record
- experience working in an EU competition and regulatory role
- good commercial awareness
- proactive and self-starting individual
- qualified solicitor in a common-law jurisdiction
- team player
Role Remuneration
Market leading salary, commensurate with experience.
