Regulatory Compliance Specialist

The successful candidate will support the Regulatory Compliance Manager by providing advice and expertise to the business by responding to, implementing and supporting adherence to regulatory requirements. Key aspects of the role will include identifying applicable laws and regulations, monitoring and implementing regulatory changes and continuously enforcing and enhancing best practises.

Main Responsibilities:

• Input to design and maintenance of an accurate and comprehensive inventory of applicable laws, regulations and codes.
• Input to design and maintenance of a register of all regulatory contacts to ensure a professional relationship with regulators and that all communication from regulators are logged and communicated to key stakeholders.
• Ongoing review of relevant websites for regulatory updates and maintenance of log for purposes of early warning for upstream legal and regulatory changes.
• Input to compliance policies and procedures to ensure robust policies and related procedures are in place to comply with applicable laws, regulations and codes, and internal policy requirements.

Experience:

• 3rd level certification, Degree/Masters.
• Legal qualification or Licentiate of the Association of Compliance Officers in Ireland.
• In-house or external experience in a financial services environment.
• Detailed knowledge of key laws and regulations relevant to the Irish financial services sector.
• Knowledge of lending and/or servicing of residential commercial mortgages, advantageous.
