Jonathan is a co-founder of Aperture Partners. He has significant experience of working in a start-up recruitment setting, working closely with clients primarily within Banking and Financial Services. Prior to his career in Recruitment, Jonathan gained experience in Retail, Business and Private Banking as well as Capital Markets.
He is passionate about all things that drive talent selection and development within Banking and Financial Services internationally and the impact upon the domestic Irish market. In particular, Jonathan has a strong professional curiosity around Leadership and Career Development in the sector.
Jonathan has worked with a broad range of client types and has assisted at all stages of organisational development; first hire in a new location to supporting on-going growth in larger teams in global organisations. His sector focus in recent years has been across three main areas.
He holds a BA in Business Management from Liverpool John Moore’s University and a MSc in Business Studies (Management Consultancy) from UCD Smurfit School of Business.

Rory is a co-founder of Aperture partners. He has a broad range of banking and financial services recruitment experience with two global recruitments leaders and one privately owned Irish company.
He has a keen interest in the Banking sector, Commercial Real Estate and Global Financial Markets, and greatly enjoys collaborating with professionals in these fields. Rory sees his role as one of great responsibility and one he takes very seriously, and more than anything else, a pleasure.
Rory has successfully worked with a range of clients facing the challenge of headcount ramp-up post the global financial crisis. With this shift in the market he has primarily focused on three areas.
He holds an MA in Sociology from the University of Aberdeen.

Barry leads the Dublin and London legal and regulatory recruitment practice of Aperture Partners. He is a solicitor member of the Law Society of Ireland, the Dublin Solicitors Bar Association and the Employment Law Association of Ireland.
A highly networked lawyer, with deep sectoral knowledge, Barry primarily focuses his search function on the domestic and international placement of Irish qualified candidates. He has significant experience of working with lawyers and regulatory professionals, across all practice areas, in all of the major markets.
Barry continues to maintain his legal practice, advising on a wide range of employment law and industrial relations issues. Barry advises on best practice procedures concerning the legal issues concerning the engagement, employment, organisation and management of employees.
A former Army Officer, with extensive leadership and management experience, Barry has served in senior operational and human resources roles at home and abroad. He partook in several international missions with the United Nations to Liberia, Sierra Leone and Western Sahara.
Barry was educated at the Military College, National University of Ireland, University College London, Trinity College Dublin and is currently completing a doctorate in corporate governance in UCD, with a particular focus on regulation.
In his spare time Barry likes to run, row and is heavily involved in martial arts.
Cormac O’Connor is an Associate in the legal and regulatory practice of Aperture Partners.
Cormac’s search practice ranges from recruiting support staff and newly qualified lawyers, through to senior lawyers in both private practice and in-house. His client base includes domestic, global and boutique law firms, as well as multinational corporations and international banking and financial institutions, operating on a truly global basis.
Cormac, a former financial engineer, has extensive experience across the financial and legal industry, having worked on a variety of finance and regulatory projects during his time with First Derivatives in Belfast, Dublin and London, providing consulting services to some of the world’s largest finance, technology and energy institutions. Cormac holds an LL.B and MSc in Business & Management from Trinity College Dublin.

Carmel joined the Advisory function of Aperture Partners in June 2017, bringing a wealth of experience in HR Management.
Carmel previously worked in areas such Head of HR, ER, Learning and Development and Regulatory and Compliance focused roles, giving her a broad range of experience in the HR environment.
Carmel advises on best practice procedures concerning HR and Employment Law issues in regard to organisational requirements and the management of employees. Carmel provides clients with practical responses to new employment legislation, case law and regulatory changes, advising on a wide range of contentious and non-contentious human resources and employment law matters
Carmel studied HR Management in DBS in 2007 and completed a Law Degree with DBS in May 2016. She is currently completing her Barrister-at-Law degree at the Honorable Society of Kings Inns.
Ciaran is a Non-executive Director with Aperture Partners. A highly experienced board adviser and with over 20 years experience in executive search and selection. His sector experience includes; Banking and Financial Services, Construction, Technology, ICT, start ups, Public Sector, Voluntary Sector.
Ciaran is also involved in a number of voluntary organisations and has been integral in the development of Young Enterprise Northern Ireland for many years.
Ciaran supports the board of Aperture Partners in development and execution of strategy, playing a key role in the firm from early stages.
He holds a BSc Finance from Queens University Belfast.
